At Gunthorpe Primary School we are dedicated to providing an inclusive Art curriculum that values every child as an artist as part of our broad curriculum. We aim to engage and inspire pupils with both visual and tactile experiences while providing opportunities to express their own thoughts and ideas in a variety of media. Our Art curriculum balances knowledge and skills while fostering a love of Art through curiosity and creativity. By exploring a diverse range of artists, materials and processes, children enhance their understanding of different cultures and time periods. The skills, communication and enjoyment we develop through the Art and Design curriculum enriches our lives, develops critical thinkers and helps us to understand the world.
