Ethos and Culture

We pride ourselves on our nurturing culture. At the heart of Nurture in our school is a focus on wellbeing and relationships and a drive to support the growth and development of children and young people, many of whom come from areas of disadvantage and require additional targeted support to close the equity gap. Our nurturing approach is key at supporting behaviour, wellbeing, attainment and achievement and we take pride in placing children and young people’s wellbeing at the centre of all assessment and planning. We recognise that our pupils will all have different experiences in their lives and have the right to appropriate support from adults to allow them to grow and develop and reach their full potential.
