Welcome Letter
I am extremely proud to be the EYFS Leader of Gunthorpe Primary School. In our Reception classes we put the whole child at the heart of everything we do. Every pupil is valued and all achievements are celebrated. An individual’s well-being is a prominent feature of our learning community. Our exceptional staff offer a curriculum that is enriched, creative and stimulating. We want all children to succeed; to achieve their full potential, be prepared for the future and become confident, thoughtful young people so that they leave us prepared for the future challenges of an exciting and global world.
Our school grounds are extensive offering children a wealth of interest and activity. In addition to our stimulating EYFS outdoor learning area, we have a large playing field, an allotment garden and an outdoor classroom (SolarDome).
The school values and promotes well-being across the whole school community, nurturing relationships within the school that are positive and happy, reflecting our caring ethos. We want all Gunthorpe children to foster a love of learning enabling them to excel, be the best they can and achieve the necessary life skills for their future.
We understand choosing the right school for your child is a very important decision. We hope our website will give you some idea of what we have to offer here at Gunthorpe. Although we are unable to accommodate tours in person at the moment, I would be happy to discuss any queries you may have over the phone or email.
We will do our very best every day to be your child’s guide in learning and exploring this bright new world they have just stepped into. Remember, together we will work for your child to be the best they can be.
We are looking forward to working with you.
Best wishes from Louise Aitcheson (EYFS Leader) and all the EYFS staff at Gunthorpe Primary School.
