Film 2008

Children's Film Awards 2008

We all enjoyed a fantastic evening at the Broadway Theatre thanks to the hard work of the Read.Write.Inspire Team. We were very proud that the Reception Class film The New Gingerbread Man received two awards, the first award was for overall winner of the Reception Category, the second award was a runners up award for the Best Overall Film judged from the winners of each category.

We were also very proud of all our film teams who did not win awards but had worked so hard throughout the year to produce some brilliant films. Everyone arrived at the Awards looking very stylish for their moment on the red carpet and we are sure they will have happy memories of this exciting event.

Gunthorpe Movie Premiere 2008

Before heading to the Film Awards we held our own Premiere to show all the films to the whole school and parents of the children in the film groups. All adults at the Premiere have a chance to vote for the two films they enjoy the most. The Winner for 2008 was the year 3/4 Film Group who produced the exciting and spooky adventure "The Curse of the School" After seeing this film we haven't seen anyone in the school library when it is getting late ! The winners received framed photographs of their group
